A first draw in nine meetings between the two sides will have helped neither much, plus the late dismissal for Andy Bishop means a two match ban for the striker.
Having been sent off for raising his arms at Kidderminster earlier in the season, the former Bury man made it a disappointing double when two second half yellow cards saw him heading for the dressing rooms on 79 minutes.
The game got off to a bright start, as Joe Anyinsah chased what seemed a lost cause as Andy Coughlin's long clearance was heading through to his opposite number, when pressure from the striker forced a fumble by Danny Lewis.
The ball spilled out and Bishop was quickly onto it, but defender Jamie Grimes was on hand to block the Wrexham man's effort.
Kidderminster's best chance fell to midfielder Callum Gittings, who hit a shot well over the bar from 12 yards.
The home side were reduced to 10 men with 11 minutes of a niggly game remaining after Andy Bishop was sent off for a foul on Gittings.
Wrexham almost snatched a late winner but Brett Ormerod's shot was kept out by a finger-tip save from Daniel Lewis.
