First up of the summer signings was Leon Clowes, who dropped in at the Racecourse to put his name to a new one-year contract.
The 21-year-old was on-loan at Vauxhall Motors for the first half of the season, but returned to the squad as injuries bite deep in the final months and made four appearances in the senior side alongside David Artell.
“I got into the side for the last four league games and hopefully showed the boss what I can do,” he said.
“It can be hard not playing, as you feel that you’re training for nothing. Those six months at Vauxhall’s have done me well, but I hope to be playing on the Racecourse a few more times next season.
“The gaffer was on at me to come back fit, so I’m going to do a pre – preseason.
“All I want to do is play football and do my little bit to get Wrexham out of this league. Whether that’s playing in the first team, all well and good, or playing with the Reserves and helping each other out in training, then I can play my part that way.”
