Ladies Welsh Premiership
Llanidloes 4 Wrexham Ladies 1
OUR third game into the newly formed Premier League ended in defeat at the hands of a full strength Llanidloes side.
Wrexham were already struggling for numbers on the day, as they were without Jade Simon, Alixe Taylor, Sam Williams and Sian Smith, due to injuries and work commitments.
But worse was to follow as they ended the match with just 9 players, as first Nicola Deane was shown a straight red card and then Lana Lightwood had to go off with an injury late in the match.
As second half substitute Emma Lowe had already replaced Emma Roden, the ladies were left no further replacements.
Speaking after the game, assistant manager Stephen Jones said: "A bad day at the office doesn't cover really it.
"There were some really good individual performances from Player of the Match Olivia Hull, while Lowri Edwards, Kate Edwards and Kirsty Jones also showed up well.
"However, some of the poorer performances let the side down.
"We have a great record in the North Wales League, only having lost one game to Caernarfon, but Premier League remains a new test for the side.
"We are expecting a better commitment to training and games in the New Year."
