A victory and a clean sheet at The Racecourse as Wrexham finished their first season in the Blue Square Premier the way they started it with a convincing victory to send the supporters home happy.
A first goal of the season from Michael Proctor and another from Ryan Flynn were enough to see off already relegated Weymouth.
For the last game of a roller coaster season Dean Saunders made two changes from the defeat at Ebbsfleet on Tuesday with Jamie McCluskey and Michael Proctor replacing Jeff Louis and Obi Anoruo.
On a bright and sunny day in North Wales Weymouth kicked off attacking the Kop end of The Racecourse and after a scrappy opening period to the game an Andy Fleming effort on six minutes was deflected for a corner.
Jamie McCluskey found Ashley Westwood six yards out with the flag kick and the skipper should have done better with his header which cleared the bar from a good position.
Sam Williamson had a long range effort on 10 minutes before Chris Maxwell held a weak shot from Onibuje. Weymouth set their stall out to frustrate Wrexham with two solid banks of four and the strikers closing down the Wrexham defenders giving them no time on the ball.
It had the desired effect as well as Wrexham struggled to create any meaningful chances in the opening spell.
Wrexham, to their credit kept working hard and the game turned on 29 minutes when a McCluskey corner was headed goalwards by Aiston and turned in from close range by Michael Proctor for his first goal of the season.
Proctor having broken his duck nearly added a second a minute later when he arrived at the near post to turn a cross from Sam Aiston just wide.
Sam Aiston was having a superb first half, making some good strong runs from midfield and on 31 minutes he broke clear and found Ryan Flynn in the area, the on loan midfielder calmly picked his spot and beat Legzdins to put the Red Dragons two up.
After such a long period without a goal, it was great to see Wrexham putting chances away again and maximising on their good play.
Wrexham almost allowed the visitors back in the game when an error by Darren Kempson, under hitting a back pass, left Maxwell exposed but fortunately Coutts finish was poor and he put his shot wide.
Three minutes later Kempson made another error but this time Onibuje's finish was poor, whilst at the other end another fine run by Sam Aiston set up Jamie McCluskey, but the young Scot fired wide.
Half Time: Wrexham 2 Weymouth 0
Weymouth put Frenchman Pierre Joseph-Dubois on at the start of the second half as Wrexham kicked off attacking the Kop.
The game re-started at a high tempo and Adam Legzdins did well to save from McCluskey after some good work by Ryan Flynn and Tom Kearney set him up. Sam Aiston had a shot held by the visiting keeper as Wrexham pressed forward looking to kill off the game with a third goal.
Joseph-Dubois only lasted 10 minutes before he was replaced by Stephen Cooke and then Kai Edwards became the 46th different player used by Wrexham this season when he replaced John Curtis.
Weymouth had a good spell of pressure but did not test Chris Maxwell in an entertaining game, which did not have an end of season feel to it at all, to be fair to both sides.
Adam Legzdins made a fine stop on 62 minutes saving McCluskey's volley after a good cross from Sam Aiston.
The keeper then needlessly conceded a corner, but redeemed himself with a fine save from Andy Fleming, who picked up the rebound when a header from Darren Kempson was blocked by Frampton on the line.
On 72 minutes, the Weymouth custodian was again in action with possibly his best save tipping over a Michael Proctor header at full stretch.
Dean Saunders replaced Andy Fleming with Nathan Fairhurst on 80 minutes and soon after Wrexham were denied a third goal by a superb tackle on Ryan Flynn who was clear on goal.
Fairhurst himself had an effort saved as Wrexham finished the game strongly but they almost lost that elusive clean sheet when Cliff Akurang cut in and fired in a fierce shot which Maxwell did well to save.
There were two added minutes and Jon Brown made a final cameo appearance before the referee's whistle blew on Wrexham's first season in non league.
