IT'S was always going to be an uphill battle for the Dragons as they saw full back Silvio Spann red carded for a late challenge after just 15 minutes at Hoo Road.
While they more than matched their hosts for the rest of the fiorst half, two goals in three minutes shortly after the restart ended any hopes of at least a battling point.
The first effort of the evening came on six minutes, when Andy Fleming laid off a ball on the edge of the box and Mark Jones' curling effort was held by keeper Dean Coleman as he dived to his left.
A well worked Harriers free kick on 10 minutes saw the ball laid off got Lee Baker to strike an effort from 22-yards that deflected for a corner.
This was the first of three consecutive flag kicks, which ended with another free kick to the home side that Matthew Barnes-Homer saw strike a Wrexham defender for yet another corner.
Then down at the other end Curtis Obeng looked to have struck the first goal of the game with a shot arrowing for the top corner, but Coleman flung himself to his left and somehow managed to tip it away for a corner.
Then disaster as Silvio Spann lunged in fort sa challenge on the half way line and caught David McDermott late, meaning the inevitable red card for the Trinidad international after just 15 minutes.
The Harriers player was stretchered from the pitch and replaced by Kyle Hadley before play could resume.
From the restart the ball broke for Brian Smikle to chase and he too lunged in as Chris Maxwell collected inside his area, leaving the young keeper in a heap.
After much debate the Harriers' striker escaped with just a yellow card, mush to the angst of the travelling fans at that end of the ground.
With Sakho left to plough a lone furrow up front, there was the unusual sight of substitute Hedi Taboubi pressed into service as a translator - issuing Deano's instructions from the dug in French!
Wrexham remained a force with Sakho holding the ball up well in the right and allowing time for Mark Jones to get forward in support, before unleashing an effort that Coleman blocked, but had to quickly get to his feet and scramble after the loose ball.
Full back Duane Courtney caused some consternation in the visitors' defence on 33 minutes, when he twisted and turned his way to the edge of the Wrexham box and unleashed a thunderous effort that fortunately was always rising over Maxwell's crossbar.
Jones turned Courtney on 43 minutes and was away down the left wing, sending over an inviting cross that was aimed Sakho, but a defender was able to cut out the danger.
Robbie Matthews got his head onto a cross from Hadley and although he beat Maxwell, the referee saw a foul to disallow his effort, as the fourth official indicated an added four minutes to be played.

Three minutes after the restart, Maxi caused a few heart flutters, as he came a along way to punch a high cross, but he missed the ball and Matthew's did manage to head goal wards, although it rolled a few yards wide of an unguarded goalmouth!
A minute later a long diagonal ball was headed back across the Wrexham goal and Brian Smikle popped up to volley home from close range for Kidderminster.
As this happened, substitute Wes Baynes was waiting on the sidelines to be introduced for Sakho.
There was a bizarre second for Harriers on 56 minutes, when Christian Smith's clearance just cannoned back off the unsuspecting Robbie Matthews and flew into the bottom corner of the Wrexham net from 15-yards!
The home side had upped their game and it was paying dividends, as they looked to exploit their numerically advantage.
A double save from keeper Coleman first denied Cieslewicz at full stretch and he was quickly up to then force Marc Williams' effort away from the rebound on 76 minutes.
Hedi Taboubi came on as our third and final change with Smith sitting down with 12 minutes left.
Frustration was getting the better of several players as the minutes ticked away and Frank Sinclair received a long talking to from referee Collins.
Indeed, their was a yellow card for Jones, when he be brought down Dolman on the half way line.
After the early dismissal of Spann it was always going to be a tough night for the visitors, but at least the travelling supporters will have seen their side battle hard and work tirelessly for the full 90 minutes
