STEVE Cotterill will bring his Championship side to the Racecourse for a pre-season friendly on 17 July - 7.30pm.
This is the second game which Brian Carey has arranged as a warm up to the new campaign and comes on the back of the news that Burnley's local neighbours Blackburn Rovers will open our series of friendly matches on Tuesday, 10 July.
Burnley have just released the experienced quartet of Graham Branch, Danny Coyne, John McGreal and Frank Sinclair, as they look to reshape their squad following a year where they didn't quite get close enough to challenge for a play-off place.
The four have not been offered new deals by boss Cotterill, who has also placed midfielder Garreth O'Connor, 28, on the transfer list.
Branch, 35, ends a seven-and-a-half year stay at Turf Moor, while McGreal, Coyne and Sinclair have spent three years at the Clarets, with Sinclair, 35, moving on after ending the season on loan at Huddersfield, where he will be staying for next year.
The Clarets will also travel to League Two neighbours Accrington Stanley on Saturday, July 14, before facing Premiership side Middlesbrough at Turf Moor on Saturday, July 21.
A game has also been arranged away to relegated League Two side Bradford City at the Intersonic Stadium on Tuesday, July 24 and they will be spending a week at a training camp in Austria, playing two games on 31 July and 4 August.
