AS if Wrexham fans didn't know it already, but the Racecourse pitch is amongst one of the best in League 2 - and that's official.

After each game the away team and referee are asked to mark their host's playing surface on a five point scale.

Once these marks are totalled for the season, the League then writes to each club and informs them of their score for the year.

The average mark in 06/07 was 3.05, with the Racecourse easily topping that with 3.24.

Congratulations to groundsman Johnny Edwards and his staff for their hard work being recognised in this manner.
