OUR Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round game with Macclesfield Town has been arranged for Tuesday, 4 September, at the Racecourse Ground.

A number of incentives have been put forward by The Football League to help improve attendances at these games and one is to play them in weeks when there is limited live television coverage of European club ties.

To this end, we will be playing in the midweek before the next set of European Championship qualifiers.

Another suggestion has been an earlier kick-off to try and attract more family groups, so both clubs have agreed to a 7.15pm start, which, barring extra time, will see the tie finished by 9.00pm.

With Macclesfield fans only having a short trip to make, then this was certainly possible.

Finally, there will be free admission for under 16s, with full details of how this scheme will work available shortly.

Admission for all other supporters will be:

£10.00 - Adults
£5.00 - Conncessions
