AFTER a day of talks with just about everyone under the sun, we can confirm that our Carling Cup second round meeting with Aston Villa will take place on Tuesday, 28 August - kick off: 7.45pm.
We will be selling tickets for this game from early next week - more details over the weekend - with Season Ticket Holders given priority to purchase their normal seat.
Please note that there will be reserved seating in operation for this match.
Prices will remain as for our League games:
£16 .00 / 17.00 - Adults
£10.00 - Concessions
£5.00 - Juniors
Aston Villa supporters will be allocated seats in the Eric Roberts Stand, with some 2,000 expected to travel from Birmingham.
Wrexham fans will have use of both the Mold Road and Yale Stands.
We have been having urgent discussions with our local safety group about re-opening the Kop and keeping it open until demolition work commences towards the turn of the year.
To this end, an independent Safety Inspection will be carried out by engineers on Monday & Tuesday. Depending on their findings and recommendations, we will do all we can to get the Kop open for the Villa match, but this is very much a race against time and might not be successful.
