TWO-GOAL hero Michael Proctor was pleased with his efforts against Morecambe, but what really made him happy was rewarding Wrexham's fans with their first three points of the season.
"The fans were fantastic; they didn't stop singing from start to finish," he said.
"Obviously a few of the lads were tired from the midweek game going into extra time but the fans helped us out and drove us on. They played their part today.
"I'm happy with the goals, but more importantly happy to get the three points. We made hard work of the second half but I'm delighted we came away with the three points.
"I'm relatively pleased with my form. In the second half all of us looked a bit sloppy, and we've got to work to improve on that, but I'm happy to get a couple of goals."
The game also saw some impressive combinations between Proctor and Neil Roberts, and Proctor is obviously enjoying working with his skipper.
"We've played together up front in pre-season and that's the third match of the season we've been playing in partnership too, so we're starting to get a bit of an understanding going. Hopefully it'll keep going for a long time," he said.
