FOLLOWING a request from Accrington Stanley, the club has agreed to switch our visit to The Fraser Eagle Stadium by a day.

Instead of travelling to Accrington on Saturday 6 October, we will instead visit them on Friday, 5 October (7.45).

To try and help improve attendances, Stanley have asked both Macclesfield Town and ourselves to switch from the scheduled Saturdays to Friday evenings in October.

"With both Blackburn Rovers and Burnley on their doorstep, it's always a tough battle for them to get supporters through the turnstiles," said Brian Carey.

"Although we do have a fixture on the preceding Tuesday, at home to Chesterfield, we felt it was only right that we try and help them out.

"With a trip to Accrington taking about 75 minutes for our fans, I'm sure we can take as many with us on the Friday night as against a Saturday."
