Latest Manager Of The Month Awards
ROTHERHAM United manager Mark Robins was celebrating today after being named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for November.
Robins enjoyed a superb month with his side securing maximum points from their four league fixtures.Rotherham began the month with back to back 2-1 home victories over Grimsby Town and Bury.An away victory over Accrington Stanley and three points at home against Shrewsbury Town ensured the Millers ended the month just two points off the pace at the top of Coca-Cola League 2.
Also short-listed for the November award were Lee Richardson of Chesterfield, Graham Turner of Hereford United and Peterborough United's Darren Ferguson.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said:
"It's been a terrific few weeks for Mark, with his side extending their unbeaten run to two months.They have been all conquering throughout November, despite a tough set of fixtures, and continue to put pressure on the top two."
Brian Laws of Sheffield Wednesday won the award in the Championship and Colin Calderwood of Nottingham Forest was given the League 1 accolade.
The decision to present the Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month award was made by the Coca-Cola Awards panel headed by Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara, former World Cup referee Jack Taylor, on behalf of The Football League, John Barnwell, Chief Executive, League Managers Association and Tim Ellerton, Sponsorship Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
