PETERBOROUGH United's success in reaching the third round of the FA Cup has given Wrexham another fixture problem, as we were due to host the Posh on Saturday, January 5 - when the men from London Road will now be otherwise engaged.

Despite having caught up with one of our games in hand yesterday at Rochdale, we are still waiting on Mansfield Town to come up with a new date for our visit to Field Mill but will drop two games behind again when FA Cup third round date comes around.

With the possibility of three midweek FAW Premier Cup ties to accommodate before the end of March, plus two international weeks in February and March, the number of likely dates has already been reduced - and all of this before any bad weather we might encounter during the coming winter.

Anyway, for now, we will at least know that following Peterborough's 5-0 win at StainesTown, they will not be available to come to the Racecourse as scheduled in early January.
