WHILE he was upset at getting injured when scoring at Bury last night, striker Eifion Williams was also looking at the bigger picture and happy that the team recorded a welcome win at Gigg Lane.
"I was delighted to grab my first league goal for the club, but the moment I felt the leg go, I knew I had pulled a muscle," he said.
"As soon as I saw the keeper coming out I realised he had misjudged it, so I gambled, but as I stretched to head it in I could feel the pain in my leg and knew I had done it.
"But at least the goal was something we could hold onto and the lads did really well. We also kept another clean sheet.
"It was a good win and think we deserved to win. To be fair I don't think they created much.
"It was only towards the end when they chucked four or five of their big guys forward they worried us.
"But it also played into our hands, as we dealt with all the high balls and could have scored on the breakaway.
"We have though set our standards and have to keep it going.
"Now we have gone above Dagenham in the table, we have to make sure that we get something from them on Saturday.
"As a player you get setbacks, but while I will be out for a few weeks, it will give someone else a chance.
"I will be back though, although at this stage I'm not exactly sure when."
