Izzy Faces One-Match Ban

Posted on: Sun 30 Dec 2007

AN added headache for manager Brian Little came with forward Chris Llewellyn collecting his fifth yellow card during yesterday's defeat to Stockport County at the Racecourse.

The Wales international was booked at Rotherham United last Saturday and then received his fifth caution of the season in the first half against County.

This means an automatic one-match ban, which would normally kick in seven days after the last offence, but as we have no game next weekend, he will instead sit out the trip to Grimsby Town on Saturday, 12 January.

He will though be eligible for the FAW Premier Cup tie at Llanelli in the previous midweek, as this competition has its own independent disciplinary procedure.

This is the second suspension of the campaign for Chris, as he was sent off during the Johnstone's Paint Trophy loss to Macclesfield Town back in September.
