WITH a place in the semi-finals of this year's competition at stake, Brian Little prepares for his first game in the FAW Premier Cup by naming a strong squad to face Llanelli this evening (7.00).

The game is being shown live on BBC 2 Wales and BBC 2W, while Wrexham World will also provide the usual match commentary for those unable to get in front of a television.

Both Gavin Ward and Phil Bolland are in the party that will head south at lunchtime today, with the pair expected to be given their debuts against a Llanelli side that is scoring goals for fun and pushing TNS hard for top spot in the Welsh Premier.

Their 5-2 win at Druids on Sunday was capped by a hat-trick from ace marksman Rhys Griffiths, who was having trails with a Swiss top division club, but has since signed a new two-year deal at Stebonheath Park.

A familiar face in the home line-up will be that of goalkeeper Ryan Harrison, who acted as back up during our LDV Vans Trophy success in 2005 and has since been with Forest Green Rovers before moving to Llanelli last summer.

The Dragons will be missing their third new signing Sam Aiston, with the winger having turned his ankle recently and being given a few extra days to recover before Saturday's visit to Grimsby Town.

Another absentee will be Conall Murtagh, who still has the stitches in his forehead following the New Year's Day trip to Chesterfield, which was a League debut to remember (!) for the young Irishman.

The action starts at the earlier time of 7.00pm tonight, with extra time and penalties available, if needed, to decide a winner.

Wrexham: Gavin Ward, Anthony Williams, Simon Spender, Neil Taylor, Ryan Valentine, Shaun Pejic, Steve Evans, Mike Williams, Wes Baynes, Levi Mackin, Mark Jones, Neil Roberts, Michael Proctor, Chris Llewellyn, Marc Williams.
