TRANMERE Rovers left back or wing back Carl Tremarco has joined Wrexham, with the club taking over his contract until the summer.

Liverpool born, Carl has been at Prenton Park since his days in the youth team, but was looking for a switch after just featuring on a handful of occasions since the summer.

"I have not been playing enough at Tranmere," he said.

"So when the chance came to join Wrexham I was more then happy to go for it.

"Obvuiously I have worked with the manager before, so he knows all about me and I'll be looking to do myself justice during the coming months.

"My contract was up in the summer anyway, so it was an easy decision to make.

"I know the club's position is not good at the minute, but with all the new faces arriving over the last week or so, then I feel there is every chance we can turn things around."

Carl's international clearance and Football League regsutration has arrived in time, so he will be wearing the number 36 and is eligible to face MK Dons tomorrow.
