THE MK Dons have agreed to striker Drewe Broughton staying at the Racecourse for the remainder of his emergency loan period with the Dragons.
He has a month left of the maximum 93-day period allowed, which will take him up until the penultimate weekend of season - just like Robert Duffy, who signed at the same time from Oxford United.
This means they will both miss the final Saturday of the season and our visit to Lincoln City.
Fellow striker Stuart Nicholson is on a similar arrangement from West Bromwich Albion and completes his 93 days with the home game against Notts County on 19 April, therefore missing the last three matches against Hereford United, Accrington Stanley and Lincoln.
Drewe will though travel to the MK Dons' hotel on Saturday evening, following our visit to Barnet, to join up with the other players and be part of their big day out at the Johnstone's Paint Final.
Having scored the winning penalty in their area final shoot out with Swansea City, Paul Ince is keen that Drewe enjoys a trip to Wembley with the rest of the MK team.
Indeed, he has returned to stadium:mk to be fitted out for his cup final suit!
The necessary paperwork will now be forwarded to The Football League and FAW to ensure he is secured in time for Thursday evening's transfer deadline.
"I'm very happy to be staying at Wrexham," said Drewe.
"Despite playing a part in the Swansea City game, there was little chance of me being in the side to face Grimsby at the final.
"Anyway, I feel I can be of more use to Wrexham as we continue our fight to lift the club out of the relegation places.
"My only disappointment is that the maxium length of this type of loan means I won't be available to play against Lincoln on the final day of the season - as I always seem to be able to score against them!
"We should have done better against Dagenham and I certainly wasn't happy with myself for not scoring. A win against them would have been a big lift.
"Having said that, we did play well as a team and if we can continue to produce that sort of form, it will only aid our cause."
