AFTER an absence of three months since his last start in the first team, Wes Baynes was happy to be back and delighted to cap his display with a 'Man of the Match' performance against Notts County.

"That has a nice ring to it!" said the youngster.

"We had been working on formations in training this week, so I knew I was back in line for a recall."

Wes though was used a right winger against the Magpies.

"It's a position I have played before under the gaffer, I enough it and it goes you more freedom to roam, compared to wing back or full back," he said.

"All the changes certainly freshened things, which we have needed, and it was good to be part of it.

"The fans could see what we were trying to do and got right behind us, which was a big lift.

"It was the result we were looking for and has given us a little ray of hope for the end of the season.

"We still need to pick up wins and that's what we will be aiming to do."

Having missed the last few weeks due to injury, the Chester based player report no further problems.

"I got through the full 90 minutes without feeling again, so that's another bonus of the day," he said.
