THE Reserves are in action again today, when they travelled north to take on a Blackburn Rovers XI.
The side will contain several of the substitutes from yesterday's draw at Rushden & Diamonds, together with a number of the older scholars.
For the home team, the likes of Robbie Fowler, Tugay, Paul Gallagher and Wales international keeper Jason Brown all featured.
The Reds took a lead in the second half when a well worked move down the left flank, onvolving Kai Edwards and Marc Williams, saw the young striker drift inside, get into a one-on-one position with Brown and fire a powerful shot that the keeper touched but could not stop going into the net.
This was on the hour mark and the visitors lead for about 10 minutes before a wonder goal drew them level. It came from outside the box and flew into the top corner of the net, giving Anthony Williams absolutely no chance.
Coach Steve Cooper was again happy with the team's performance: "After last week's win at Everton, it was good to see the players maintain that standard against Blackburn.
"We faced a strong Rovers line-up and gave as good as we got.
"It was also pleasing to see the like of Johnny Hunt, at left back, showing up well in such company, while Marc Williams was lively throughout his time on the pitch."
Wrexham: Anthony Williams, Kyle Critchell, Shaun Pejic, Gareth Evans, Johnny Hunt, Christian Smith, Andy Fleming, Wes Baynes (Kai Edwards 46), Luke Carding (George Stewart 70), Michael Proctor, Marc Williams (Obi Anoruo 70).
