BRIAN Flynn has been holding an Under 17 Squad training session in North Wales over the weekend and it will conclude with a game against Everton later today.

Included in the squad are two Wrexham scholars, goalkeeper Tom Bainbridge and defender Leon Clowes.

The U17s face a qualifying round group out in Portugal, which starts on 15 September, and see them facing the hosts plus the Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan.

The top two in each of the 13 qualifying round sections, plus the two third-placed sides with the best record against the leading pair in their group, will progress to the Elite round, which will be drawn on 4 December and played in the spring of 2009.

The winners of the seven Elite round sections will join hosts Germany in the final tournament from 6-18 May.
