Tom Is Cleared To Play On
AFTER a great deal of chasing by the FAW, we have finally secured international clearance for Tom Taylor from the USSF.
The midfielder had most recently been registered with the Portland Timbers of the USL, but after agreeing to cancel his contract with the Oregon-based club was a free agent and therefore not affected by the recent transfer window closing.
The process was started by the FAW last Friday and after a number of trans-Atlantic faxes finally concluded a week later.
Tom is now free for selection, although he continues to work on his match fitness with the staff at Colliers Park and did feature in a mid week reserve team friendly at Crewe.
Fellow midfielder Christian Smith has also put pen to paper on an extension to his original one-month deal and he too is signed up until the transfer window opens again in January.
