SHAUN Pejic was massively disappointed that his first game of the season ended in a disappointing manner at Cambridge.

"Obviously we're disappointed with the result; we wanted to come away with at least a draw today.

"It wasn't just the result though, we're not happy with the performance. It just wasn't up to scratch. I don't think everyone was at it, I don't think everyone was willing to give that extra ten per cent and for some reason we were a little bit dead today.

"We had a really good start for the first twenty minutes. The keeper pulled off a couple of good saves from a couple of good strikes from outside the box but I don't know what happened after that. We're all oblivious to why we all took our foot off the pedal after that."

Pejic had a chance to renew his acquaintance with a certain Lee McEvilly too!

"He's a bit of a handful as we all know!

"Having played for us we knew he was going to try that extra bit harder to get one over on us as well.

"It's annoying when he pops up and plays a big part in our defeat. Very frustrating! It was always on the cards though, wasn't it?

"He's always going to be up for those sorts of games. When it's a confrontation with ex-players he likes that sort of thing. I'm very frustrated and disappointed that we let that happen. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!
