Trio Of Reds On Standby For England Games
THERE was disappointment for Wrexham defender Mike Williams today, when he was omitted from the 18-man squad to face England over two-legs of the UEFA U21 play-off games next month.
Mike has been a regular in Brian Flynn's plans during the campaign and although on the bench in Romania for their dramatic final group game earlier this month, he played over 70 minutes in the U21s sensational 3-0 victory, after coming on as an early substitute.
Although Mike misses out on the squad named this afternoon in Cardiff, he is on the stand-by list, along with Racecourse team mates Neil Taylor and Levi Mackin.
