TONIGHT the Youth team make the short trip to Nantwich Town (7.30), hoping to win a fourth consecutive away tie in this year's FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON and so claim their place in the first round proper.
"It's been an adventure," said coach Stuart Webber. "But one we have enjoyed and learnt from."
Successive wins at Stalybridge Celtic, Northwich Victoria and Marine have now brought the side to the Weaver Stadium this evening.
"When we first saw the draw, we were more than a little disappointed that there were no home ties," said Stuart. "But each game has given us something different.
"The opportunity to play at proper grounds and under floodlights with a crowd watching, are all fairly new to most of the lads.
"This evening we visit another very new stadium at Nantwich, one that is only a couple of years old.
"The players also know that if they do well enough to win tonight, then they have earned the right to run out at the Racecourse in the first round proper."
Whichever team triumphs in the final qualifying round will have a home draw to either Cammell Laird or Curzon Ashton at the next stage.
"All the reports we have had back about Nantwich, say they are a very good side and we will be approaching this tie in a professional manner," said Stuart.
"Like the first team, we have also been hit by injuries, with Josh Marsh and keeper Danny Staples missing from the side that played in the last round.
"While we are hoping that centre half Leon Clowes comes through a fitness test today and can at least play some part in the match.
"The players have shown up well in their previous three games and now they have to maintain that consistency this evening."
