SCOTTISH midfielder Ryan Flynn was back in training with the club today, the first chance he has had to do that since signing a loan deal back on 27 November.

"It's been a frustrating time for everyone," said Ryan.

"I had a slight problem when I first signed, but I had to put pen to paper as the transfer deadline was fast approaching.

"Then while receiving treatment back at Liverpool, I then pulled a hamstring, which set me back further.

"Happily, that's behind me and I'm at last able to return to Wrexham."

He joined in training with the rest of the first team today and will also be training at Colliers Park on Saturday morning, as he gets back up to speed and ready to fight for a place over Christmas and New Year.

"The team has been playing well recently and results mean I'm not sure of a place, but I'll work hard in training and then see what happens," he said.

Ryan's first loan spell is due to expire on 3 January, but is likely to be extended.
