DESPITE being based in Cornwall for a few days manager Dean Saunders was still a busy man on the transfer front with more outgoings completed today.
Winger Simon Brown has headed out for his second loan spell of the season, joining up with Martin Foyle at York City on a loan deal until the end of the season.
With over a 100 appearances for Mansfield Town before switching to the Racecourse this summer, he also had a spell on loan at Rushden & Diamonds before Christmas and played alongside York midfielder Simon Russell whilst on loan at Kidderminster in 2004.
Already at the Kit Kat Crescent is Kyle Critchell and it was made trio of former Wrexham players when midfielder Christian Smith agreed a contract with the Minstermen until the end of the season.
Smith started his career at Port Vale with Foyle and as well as loan spells at Cambridge United & Northwich Victoria, he also made 26 appearances for Scottish club Clyde last season.
Also heading out to continue their education in the game will be scholars Matty Hurdman and George Stewart, who will be joining Welsh Premier clubs for the rest of the season.
The pair are second year trainees, with midfielder Matty going to Prestatyn Town and winger George signing on for Airbus.
"This is a great opportunity for both players," said youth coach Stuart Webber.
"They have developed well in our youth system, but now is they have the chance to experience first team football at a good standard.
"We will be closely monitoring their progress in the coming months, as they look to earn professional contracts this summer."
