LEVI Mackin will today become the fourth Wrexham player to switch to York City during this transfer window, when he signs a long-term loan deal which will see him spend the rest of the season with the Minstermen.
With Kyle Critchell (month's loan), Simon Brown (long-term loan) and Christian Smith already on their books at the Kit Kat Crescent, manager Martin Foyle has made his fourth raid on Racecourse in a little less than two weeks.
For Levi, this is an ideal way of getting back into first team football and with a manager who knows him well.
"I need a change of scenery," said the midfielder.
"We have a large number of players at the Racecourse at present, and it's difficult to break into a side that's doing well and getting the results.
"With no competitive reserve team fixtures either; you do miss being involved in a league game.
"We have plenty of matches at Colliers Park, but now I'm looking forward to being back in the first team again."
Levi is fully recovered from the slight injury he picked up before Christmas and like a number of others will benefit from being in the thick of the action.
Based in Chester, he made his way through the ranks at the Racecourse and is currently one of the longest serving players at the club, having made his debut at Wycombe Wanderers in May 2004.
With over 80 appearances to his credit, the 22-year-old started this season in the side for the opening day victory over Stevenage, only to pick up a red card following two cautions.
Last season he spent two months on loan in the BSP with Droylsden, playing 12 times.
