THE continued wintery weather has claimed another fixture, with the U21s visit to play Northern Ireland in Ulster called off.

With five Wrexham players in the squad to face the Irish on Tuesday evening, in front of the SKY cameras, officials in Ballymena have decided to save the Welsh from travelling by admitting defeat to the conditions.

Brian Flynn will now keep the players in camp for a couple of days training and they are looking to play a friendly against a local Welsh team instead.

The players will then be free to return to their clubs on Wednesday as planned.
