Marc Has Foot Operation
STRIKER Marc Williams has undergone an operation to pin his broken metatarsal and is now starting the lengthy process of recovery.
With the end of the season only about two months away, he has little chance of playing again in 20008/09, even with the play-off final date set for 17 May, so his realistic aim is to get regain fitness over the summer, ready to join in pre-season training.
Now fitted with a large boot to protect the foot, Marc will have to stay in a cast for several weeks to aid the healing process.
Rest is really the only cure, but it must be hard to remain patient when things had been going so well on the pitch for the Wales U21 international.
Meanwhile, manager Dean Saunders is continuing his search for a replacement signing, although this weekend's fixture at Eastbourne might be just a little too soon to see another new face introduced into the Dragons' squad.
