AFTER training today, Matt Jansen sat down with manager Dean Saunders and chairman Geoff Moss to sort out the fine print on a deal that will see him stay with the club until the end of the current season.
"We are delighted to have Matt here," said Dean.
"He wants to start playing football again and I hope that he'll enjoy being involved once more."
Assuming his international clearance is granted in time, then he will be involved in some capacity on Saturday when the Dragons travel south once more, on this occasion to face Woking at Kingfield Road.
"It was good to be here today and I've started to get to know the rest of the squad," said Matt.
"Having not played for an extended period, I'm afraid that I will just have to take it one game at a time.
"I know I'm not match fit, although I hope that will start to come back pretty quickly.
"I was training with Blackburn before Christmas and have also been with Huddersfield more recently, even playing a reserve team game for them.
"Not that I won't give giving it my all when called upon. Wrexham fans can be assured that I will give 100% and run until I drop.
"I'm lucky that I don't have a problem with putting on weight, so that's not something I don't have to worry about.
"It was nice to get out of the house again to go and play some football - and the wife is certainly glad to get some time to herself once more.
"It was also good to meet up with some old friends in Terry Darracott and Dean - while I have also known John Curtis for a long time.
"Now I'm just looking forward to playing football again and helping Wrexham over the last few weeks of the season."
