bet365 Gold Cup Chase

Posted on: Thu 23 Apr 2009

THE bet365 Gold Cup Chase at Sandown traditionally brings the curtain down on the National Hunt season and has produced some memorable finishes up the famous Esher Hill down the years.

This year's renewal on Saturday (3.10) promises to be just as exciting and a highly competitive one at that. Last year's third Hoo La Baloo is the current 6/1 favourite, with 2006 winner Lacdoudal at 7/1.

However, favourites don't have a great record and with few apparent no-hopers in the field it could pay to back one at a bigger price.

Bowleaze and Oodachee should go well but our pin has fallen on Hennessy, who looks the right type for the race and is an each-way price at 14/1 - look out for enhanced place terms on this race and the rest of Sandown's card on Saturday!

If you're betting on the day of the race, then make sure you take a price on your selection as bet365 will have a Best Odds Guarantee, meaning you will get paid out at the starting price if it's bigger.

Plus, if you're new to bet365 then you could be betting on the race for free. Simply register and place your first qualifying bet.

You will then be entitled to a free bet to the same stake up to a maximum of £25 on a market of your choice - the bet365 Gold Cup Chase or the weekend game perhaps? A further £75 in free bets are available in much the same way.
