Flemo On England C Standby

Posted on: Sun 03 May 2009

WREXHAM midfielder Andy Fleming continues to impress this season and he has once again been recognised by the FA.

The Liverpool-based player has been put on standby for the England C international against Belgium at Oxford United on Tuesday 12 May.

This is the final of the International Trophy and sees the big guns of the Football Conference called up to represent the English in their season's finale.

Andy was also on standby for the February visit to Malta, but that party was a very experimental selection, so it is a credit to youngster that he retains his place.

He will now have to wait and see if injuries or call-offs, open up a place in the final squad for him, for this game at the Kassam Stadium.

Earlier in the campaign, both Carl Tremarco and Darran Kempson were also called up by England.
