TRINIDAD and Todgao international Silvio Spann has been called up by his country for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The midfielder will be with his country from this week through to the middle of June, as the T&T squad play some warm-up games under new coach Russell Latapy before the competitive matches start.

They face World Cup dates against Costa Rica at home (6 June) and then Mexico at altitude in Mexico City (10 June).

After three games of their final six team group, the Warriors sit bottom of the table with two points, but still in with a great chance - provided they get some return from these next two fixtures.

The top three countries will qualify for South Africa 2010, while the fourth placed team will face a play-off with a South American side for the remaining spot at the finals.
