WREXHAM Football Club's matchday programme has been recognised by the Northern Programme Club's 2009 Programme of the Year Awards.

The Dragons beat both Cambridge United and Oxford United to the "Best Programme" award for the Blue Square Premier.

Meanwhile, the Lewes programme has won the "Best Cover Design" Award in the Blue Square Premier, with Wrexham runners-up and Oxford United in third place.

Premier League side Sunderland claimed the overall "Best Programme" title.

Congratulations to the whole programme production team on creating an epic issue for each game in 2008/09, one that the club is rightly proud of.

The Football Conference will announce their own Programme of the Year award at the Annual Congress on Saturday, 13 June.
