DEFENDER Nat Brown has left the club today after coming to an agreement over the remaining 12 months of his contract.

The former Lincoln City player joined the Reds a year ago, but hasn't featured since October and then joined Macclesfield Town on loan a month later.

Based in Sheffield, the near four-hour round trip to the Racecourse was a problem and a move to the Moss Rose helped considerably in this aspect.

He has been a regular with the Macc Lads since, playing in 30 League 2 games and also helping the club to an FA Cup third round tie with Everton.

Macclesfield would appear to be interested in recruiting Nat on a full-time basis, but other Football League sides might also make him an offer.
