POLISH Youth international Adrian Cieslewicz has become the latest player to sign on the dotted line, when finalising his contract with manager Dean Saunders this afternoon.

The 18-year-old attacking player was released after two years with Manchester City, where he progressed from the youth ranks to the reserve side at Eastlands.

Brought up on the Faroe Islands, Adrian was spotted by both Liverpool and Manchester City when playing in a junior tournament in Aberdeen and invited back for further trials.

A proposed deal at Anfield fell through following a change of personnel at the Merseyside giants, but he also had the option to go to City and was happy to sign on at the other end of the East Lancs Road instead.

With the recent influx of money to fill Mark Hughes' coffers, the opportunity for further progression for most of the youth players at City is not great at the moment.

Therefore Adrian was both happy and grateful to accept Wrexham's offer of a switch to the Racecourse.

After completing the formalities today, he joined in with the rest of the squad as they got to know each other at Colliers Park on the first day of pre-season training.
