WREXHAM FC can today announce that compensation packages have been arrived at for the transfer of two bright prospects from our youth academy.
15-year-old Matthew Regan will move to Liverpool FC's Academy, while 13-year-old Curtis Strong will be joining up with Stoke City.
As part of the deal for Matthew, Liverpool will play a friendly match at the Racecourse next July.
Wrexham would like to wish both Matthew and Curtis all the best for their future careers, and express our hope that both players will go on to enjoy a successful time at the top level.
We are also currently in negotiation over the possible transfer of two other youngsters, who have attracted the attention of a Premier League club.
Such activity proves the growing reputation of the Wrexham FC Centre of Excellence and is testament to all the hard work of the coaches down at Colliers Park.
Wrexham remains dedicated to investment in development of young talent and seeing the success of the Youth Academy is always especially pleasing for everyone involved with the Club.
