INTEREST in Sunday's derby may have been slow at getting off the ground at first, but over the last two days ticket sales have picked up considerably.
Office staff at the Racecourse have certainly been kept busy with requests in the run up to our first clash with Chester City in Wales for nearly two years, as sales of matchday tickets for the Wrexham sections spiked towards some 3,400 by 5pm this evening.
With Season Tickets accounting for another 1,600+ fans, this means that at least 5,000 Wrexham supporters will be on hand to get behind the players at tomorrow's 12 noon kick-off.
Sales figures from the Deva indicate that over 800 City supporters will also make the short trip over the border, giving a likely crowd heading towards 6,000.
There are some tickets left to buy online via the official website, mainly on the upper Yale Stand (Mold & Town ends) and you will be able to then collect these from the Club Shop from 10.00am onwards.
Unfortunately, we are prohibited from making cash sales on the day, but pre-purchased tickets can be uplifted prior to the match.
