BACK amongst the goals today was Andy Mangan, who rattled in his sixth strike in 16 games since joining the Dragons back in January.
"I probably should have scored four today, the keeper's pulled off a save and another took a deflection to go wide," said Andy.
"As I have said all along, I believe I can score goals and score goals anywhere.
"The gaffer has made three really good signings yesterday and it has put the lads on their toes. It has certainly done that to me with a striker coming in.
"It was a great result. Great for the fans, great for the players and great for the gaffer.
"He needed this result as much as we did and I'm made up.
"As we waited for that free kick, I said to Luke that this was going to be his first goal.
"He does them in training and it was great kick over the wall, you don't see many people doing that.
"Then shortly afterwards I was through and the lad has brought me down, which I did think was a straight red.
"I was able to send the keeper the wrong way from the penalty, before grabbing my second with a bit of composure and blasting it in.
"Luke's goal really did settle us down, because we knew that we could get two or three after half time.
"So as soon as the first went in, then we were all a bit more relaxed."
Andy found himself with a new strike partner for the day, with Danny Mitchley being handed his debut.
"It was a shame that his strike in the first half didn't stand, because it was an absolutely great finish," said the former Forest Green man.
"I thought he did really well for his first game and he's only 20, so hopefully he can keep that going, because it's really good for all of us."
