Fron Choir Sing To Aid Football Club

Posted on: Wed 15 Feb 2012

WREXHAM Supporters Trust are pleased to announce a concert by the Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir as part of their fundraising campaign to help clear the debts that they inherited when they became the first Supporters Trust to take on the running of a professional football club, taking over Wrexham FC on last November.

The Choir will be in full voice on Saturday, 25 February at the William Aston Hall, with Andrew Griffiths being the special guest singer for the evening.

Trust Chairman Peter Jones said: "We are extremely grateful to both the Choir and Andrew Griffiths for agreeing to help in the Trust's aim to make Wrexham Football Club a secure, sustainable and community run club.

"The choir is known worldwide following their rise to fame, and we would hope that fans of the choir and fans of the football club, who maybe haven't yet seen the choir, will make the effort to support this event.

"I know many members of the choir are big fans of Wrexham, and I'm sure that they will take great pride in the fact that they are singing to help the club that they support. It promises to be an exciting evening."

Tickets for the concert, costing just ten pounds, are available from Wrexham Football Club main office, the Trust Shop on Mold Road, and on line at
www.wst.org.uk and www.wrexhamafc.co.uk or from Fron Choir Concert c/o WST, PO Box 2200, Wrexham, LL12 9WG.

Cheques should be made payable to 'Wrexham Supporters Trust'.
