Jamie Makes Colwyn Bay Debut
JAMIE REED made his debut for Colwyn Bay at Llanelian Road yesterday afternoon, as manager Peter Davenport rung the changes to good effect.
The Bay enjoyed a 1-0 success thanks to Chris Adamson's 13th minute goal, as their website reports:
The manager's decision to make four changes to the starting line up was seen to be justified when a significantly improved performance saw the Bay beat Alsager for the second time this season.
After the disappointment of recent weeks, the impressive debuts by new signings Jamie Reed and Peter Smith were pleasing alongside a man of the match performance from Chris Priest.
A clean sheet, greater desire in key areas and some impressive interplay at times were all factors to lift the morale of the supporters, edging the Bay back up to sixth place and onto the fringes of the play-off places.
Jamie is in for a busy period with Colwyn Bay, as they have a total of eight games scheduled during his month on the North Wales coast, and next up is a League Cup tie against Warrington Town on Tuesday evening.
