Mike WilliamsAfter the Derby game Mike WIlliams was quick to praise the terrific support which Wrexham's 3,000 fans gave the team.

"The fans were terrific.  It was like being at home; I couldn't hear the Derby fans!  The fans are always brilliant when we play away.  It's been a big occasion for the whole club, but now we've got to concentrate on the league!

"At the end of the day they played the better football and you could see why they're in a higher division.but we gave as good as we got, had some chances and for a spell int he second half we actually had them on the ropes!

"I'd like to take a look at Steve Evans' goal and see if that was offside or not.  If that had counted it would have been 2-2 and then I think we could have come out of the game with something.

"We've enjoyed coming down, it has been a good game for us, but now we've got a game in Tuesday at Newport, another cup tie, and we've got to concentrate on taking our performance from today into that game and the league.

"We need to push on now. We seem capable of coming to a place like this and put on a good performance; now we've got to go to places in our own league and do the same.  We don't seem to be able to play as well as we have today against the lower teams."
