London Road under cover
PRECAUTIONS are well underway to make sure Saturday's game at London Road goes ahead, despite the recent snow that has fallen in eastern England, with the club unrolling their pitch covers to protect the grass.
They did have some snow in Peterborough, but escaped the worst of the storms that hit other areas on Thursday. Even the snowman that someone built on the pitch has now melted!
Rain is forecast in the Cambridgeshire area overnight, but with temperatures expected to stay above freezing the chances of more snow would seem unlikely. These clouds are also forecast to clear by lunchtime tomorrow, giving clear skies in time for the game.
It is not quite so good for Wrexham supporters planning to travel east, as snow is expected overnight in north-east Wales, but once you are on your way you should leave it behind by the time you reach the Midlands.
So please take care and leave yourselves some extra time to make the journey.
