After gaining their first league win of the season last weekend, WREXHAM travel to the Coral Windows stadium to take on Stuart McCall's Bradford City side.

Two goals from Michael Proctor were enough to see off Morecambe last week, though the margin of victory could have been greater had the home side made better use of chances created. Jon Newby's second half goal against his former club set up a nervy finish, but Brian Carey's men held out for a deserved win.

Bradford City are still looking for their first win of the new campaign, after The Bantams were relegated from League One last season. Macclesfield Town held them to a 1-1 draw at the Coral Windows stadium on the opening day. Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu scored just before half time, after Barry Conlon's penalty was saved.

Last week they travelled to Shrewsbury Town, in the first league game to take place at the New Meadow stadium. The Bantams went behind early on to a Dave Hibbert penalty, and they could not break down a stubborn Shrews' defence, going down 1-0. In the Carling Cup they travelled to Wolverhampton Wanderers but could not progress past the first round, losing 2-1 to the Championship outfit.

City dropped into League Two after finishing 22nd in League One for the 2006-07 season, with Rotherham and Brentford finishing below them. They went down 3-0 to Chesterfield in their penultimate game of the season, and due to Cheltenham beating Rotherham, both sides were condemned to League Two football for the  2007-08 season.

After the opening day defeat to Darlington, Brian Carey will hope for better fortunes away from home in this fixture. The Dragons never really got going in their opening game, and despite playing against ten men for around half an hour, Carey's men were eventually defeated 2-0. Darlo have since followed this up with a 3-0 away win against Accrington Stanley and currently sit at the top of the League Two table.

Brian Carey has tinkered with his line-up in the first three games of the season, and may decide to do so again after the return of Mark Jones and Steve Evans, who featured for Wales in their victory over Bulgaria. After clinching the signing of Silvio Spann in midweek, Carey has added another midfield option to his squad, though the Trinidadian will not be available for this game.

Last Time Out

The sides last met on Boxing Day 2004, with referee Carl Boyeson creating most of the headlines. The Bantams were down to ten men early on as Boyeson sent off striker Dean Windass for foul and abusive language. Despite being a man light, City took the lead through Steve Schumacher, who forced the ball over the line from close range.

However, the drama did not end there, and with seconds left on the clock, Wrexham were awarded a penalty when Steve Roberts went down in the box - Armstrong tucked away the spot kick to gain the Dragons a point, and leave the home crowd fuming.
