AFTER extending their unbeaten run to three games against Morecambe, WREXHAM will hope to continue their recent form against Darlington this Saturday (don't forget the 2.30pm kick-off).

The Dragons gained a valuable point at Christie Park in midweek, Danny Sonner and Michael Proctor each scoring from the spot. Unfortunately with both Mansfield Town and Dagenham and Redbridge winning on the night, Brian Little's men still have much work to do in order to climb to safety.

This weekend the Dragons take on Dave Penney's Darlington, who will be looking to put further pressure on league leaders MK Dons. The Quakers currently lie in second position in League Two, five points behind Paul Ince's men but with two games in hand.

Darlington won their fourth game in the last five on Tuesday night, after defeating Accrington Stanley 1-0 at the TFM Arena. Home fans may have been anticipating a rout when Tommy Wright opened the scoring after 29 seconds, but the single goal proved to be enough for all three points.

Manager Dave Penney has been active in the transfer market to aid his side's push for automatic promotion. Ryan Valentine rejoined the Quakers recently after his 18-month spell at the Racecourse. Similarly striker Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu has joined for a second spell, who moves from Gillingham on a free transfer, following a recent loan spell at Bradford City.

Darlington are not short of firepower up front, and Ndumbu-Nsungu will have to fight for his place along with Richie Foran and former Wales Under-21 international Kevin Gall.

Brian Little will again make changes to his side following the trip to Morecambe. Danny Sonner and Carl Tremarco both picked up injuries at Christie Park, and they are likely to join Richard Hope on the sidelines after the defender was red-carded in the dying minutes.

Loan signing Rob Duffy is pushing for his first start after scoring twice for the reserves against Rochdale in midweek.

Last Time Out

The two sides faced each other on the opening day of the season at the TFM Arena. Kevin McBride put the home side ahead in the first half, and shortly after the break Quakers' keeper Andy Oakes was dismissed for bringing down Michael Proctor.

However, the Dragons could not make their numerical advantage count and were punished when Julian Joachim doubled Darlington's lead.
