WREXHAM look forward to their first match in two weeks as mid-table Grimsby Town visit the Racecourse this Saturday (3.00pm).

The Dragons have not played since the 0-0 draw at Peterborough United, with matches at MK Dons and Hereford United postponed.

Unfortunately, with other clubs at the bottom of League Two winning last week, the Dragons now find themselves seven points behind Dagenham & Redbridge and Macclesfield Town, who sit just above the relegation zone, although we have three and four games in hand respectively.

This weekend's visitors will hope for a major improvement in performance following a 4-1 home defeat against the Daggers last Saturday.

Grimsby Town currently lie in 12th position in League Two, five points behind Stockport County who occupy the final playoff place. Alan Buckley's side have been on a charge up the table since their Boxing Day defeat at home to Accrington Stanley, going on an 11-match unbeaten run before last week's defeat.

They have also continued this form in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, where they have reached the Northern Area Final against Morecambe. The first leg will be played next Tuesday, after postponement in midweek.

Brian Little will hope his side can continue their good form despite a two-week break. The Dragons last tasted defeat on the 12th January - when they lost 1-0 to Grimsby!

With three home games to come in quick succession, the Dragons will hope that the table looks rather more promising in March than it does in February!

Last Time Out

Danny North's second half goal proved to be the difference when the sides met at Blundell Park. North broke through the defence and lobbed Gavin Ward, the linesman giving the goal after Steve Evans' attempted clearance.
