A player with electric pace, Simon is a fleet footed forward who can also play in a wider attacking role when required.
Signed by Wrexham on a free transfer from Mansfield Town in June 2008, Brown began his career at West Brom where he spent two seasons.
Frustrated at his lack of first team opportunities, he joined Kidderminster on loan in March 2004 earning plaudits from then Harriers' boss Jan Molby as he netted twice in eight appearances.
After a further loan spell at Aggborough, he joined Mansfield for £50,000 in December 2004 and in his first full season netted 12 times.
The high point of his Stags career came in October 2007 when he scored a hat-trick in just 14 minutes as Mansfield thrashed Macclesfield 5-0 at Field Mill.
