A graduate of Tranmere's youth policy, Carl made his first team debut for Rovers in a FA Cup tie at Hornchurch in November 2003 just a month after his 18th birthday.
It was not until the 2005-06 season that he enjoyed an extended run in the side and the promising left-back netted his first goal in a 2-1 home win over Huddersfield Town in February 2006.
Just when he seemed to have established himself in the first team, Tremarco was sidelined by a stomach injury and lost his place in the side.
Having worked with Brian Little at Prenton Park, he joined Wrexham in January 2008 and quickly won over the fans with a series of fine displays before injury again intervened.
Despite interest from several higher divisions clubs, the 22-year-old opted to sign a new two-year contract during the summer.
