Wales Under-21 international, Marc certainly caught the eye with his energetic performances up front and now he's adding the goals he has always threatened to do.
He made his debut in a 2-0 win at Rushden in January 2006, alongside his brother Mike, and nearly marked the occasion with a goal, hitting the bar early in the second half. The duo became the seventh pair of brothers to represent Wrexham, and the first since Stephen and Neil Roberts.
Since then his non-stop running and enthusiasm, not to mention his ability to hold the ball up, has impressed and he was a regular in Brian Carey's early selections. Indeed, he scored the first goal of the Carey era, and the first of his Wrexham career, with a fine header at Swindon Town.
In fact, his only black mark so far was a controversial red card he picked up in a European Under-21 Championship qualifier. Marc had already scored two goals, but a 78th minute penalty gave Israel a 3-2 lead and subsequently both Williams and Craig Davies were dismissed, decisions which incensed the FAW.
Since the arrival of Dean Saunders as manager in October 2008, Marc has been back in the side and scoring goals.
